Online

Upload your prescription

  1. To upload your Prescription to James Dean Pharmacy. Choose where you would like to have it dispense, either Gray St or Lonsdale St.

  2. Fill out our quick and simple online uploading form and attaching BOTH SIDES of the prescription ( i.e the Original, usually marked as Medicare/DVA or the YELLOW copy if it's a REPEAT AND the Duplicate, marked as Pharmacist / Patient COPY) and click ‘Submit’.

  3. Ensure you bring your actual prescription with you when you collect your medication as the pharmacist must retain it for compliance with government regulations. If you gets your script filled at Grays St, you can also drop these off in our after hour box at the entrance.

  1. Take a Picture of BOTH SIDES of the prescription(s) ( i.e the Original, usually marked as Medicare/DVA or the YELLOW copy if it's a REPEAT AND the Duplicate, marked as Pharmacist / Patient COPY) with your mobile phone.

  2. Email & send to either the Gray st store:  dispensary@jamesdeanpharmacy.com or Lonsdale St lonsdale@jamesdeanpharmacy.com, along with your

    • Name

    • Postal Address

    • Mobile Number

    • Instruction on what you would like to get dispense and any notes to the pharmacist

  3. Wait for one of our friendly staff to contact you with confirmation of a time and date for pick-up or delivery.

  4. Ensure you bring your actual prescription with you when you collect your medication as the pharmacist must retain it for compliance with government regulations.

How do I sign up to MedAdvisor?

 

It's free to join, simply:

  1. Drop your prescription(s) in to James Dean Pharmacy- Gray St or Lonsdale as script on file.

  2. Let us know you’d like to join MedAdvisor.

  3. Contact us to get your unique MedAdvisor Activation Code. This code attaches your MedAdvisor App or web experience to your personal medication record and the pharmacy.

  4. MedAdvisor is available as an Apple or Android mobile App but can also be accessed from any PC or other web-enabled device via a web browser: Download from Apple App Store (for iPhone & iPad), Google Play (for Android) or PC web app at https://www.medadvisor.com.au/login

  5. Tap or click on the 'Register' button, enter your Activation Code and last name, enter your details, choose a password and press 'Submit'

  6. Done! Your prescriptions will automatically appear in MedAdvisor within 1 hour. You'll receive a welcome message when they're ready.

Fax and Post

  1. Fax or Post BOTH SIDES of the prescription ( i.e the Original, usually marked as Medicare/DVA or the YELLOW copy if it's a REPEAT AND the Duplicate, marked as Pharmacist / Patient COPY) together with your Mobile or phone number and instruction on what you would like to get dispense and any notes to the pharmacist.

  2. FAX the prescription to Gray St 03 5571 6501 or Lonsdale 03 5572 2772

  3. POST to James Dean Pharmacy - Gray St 170 Gray St, Hamilton VIC 3300 or James Dean Pharmacy - Lonsdale 6/130 Lonsdale St, Hamilton VIC 3300

Once a customer completes the short digital consultation, the answers are quickly reviewed by the medical team and a prescription is emailed to our pharmacy within minutes. The doctors follow up with an original script a few days later.
